during the time of the twin tower attacks i was in 1st grade at school and i got pulled out of school during the day. i dont really remember how i felt about it cause i dont remember it. i don't think i really knew what was going on. i'm sure i was pretty confused and scared becuase i didn't know why i was getting taken out of school. I think were still at war with iraq and afghanistan because we don't want them to win. they already attacked the twin towers with our own planes and i guess we don't want them to win what they want. the u.s might want to show iraq that we arent strong strong.

Earth Day.

one fun fact about earth day is that Earth Day is a relatively new holiday and was first celebrated on April 22nd in 1970, more than 20 million Americans participated in the first earth day celebration.

3 things that i learned about Haiti this week is that Haiti shares in island with the dominican republic, its one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere (most of the people there live in poverty.) and the population is 9,035,536.

hurricane season response.

after watching the movie Hurricane Season i really liked it. i liked it because it was an inspirational movie. it showed that even if you start from down low and you try hard for something it will pay off in the end. i also liked it because it showed some real videos and pictures from the effects of katrina.

natural disasters.

The natual disasters that intrest me the most are tornados, i like them because of the way they form and circulate over large amounts of areas. in such a short amount of time. A major natural disaster that has happened recently is the earthquake in Chile. This earthquake happened on Saturday, February 27th 2010 at 3:43:14 AM. The eathquake was a magnitude of 8.8 and killed over 700 people. Scientists say that the Chile earthquake was 500 times stronger then the Haiti earthquake. Families have recovered because the government in Chile is working on rebuilding houses and buildings in the city. I have not experienced an actual natural disaster other than the big storm that happended about 2 weeks ago. Some people say that the storm was considered a tropical storm, this storm left most of new jersey powerless for several days due to the falling of trees onto power lines. I was effected by the strom because i was like the rest of new jersey i lost power but only for a couple of hours.

my favorite place i've been to..

i've been to a lot of differnet places, but my favorite would have to be new york city. i have been to the city a lot of times, and everytime i have gone there i have done something different. the reason why i like city so much is because there is so many things to do there. there are a lot of different stores to shop in and the city i always moving so you can really never get bored. the coordinates for new york city is 40N & 73W.
